Terms and Conditions

At WE ARE DIFFS we provide a quality service selling refurbished and used car parts at affordable prices. We offer a high level of customer service and do all that we can to aid, assist, advise and communicate well with our customers before and after they make a purchase. Our parts are dispatched quickly and via reliable services. All parts are checked before being dispatched and care is taken to make sure that they are well wrapped to ensure safe transit to the customer. We have been in this industry for over 25 years and take pride in what we do, which is reflected in our customer feedback.

Privacy Policy:

Privacy is a number one concern to all of us and we will not share in ANY WAY your personal information to third parties and we DO NOT store credit card details. Names and content information are collected and used for customer orders and from those wishing to join our mailing list. We only use information collected from you lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The only information we collect from you, is what you provide us with in order to process your purchase, delivery and to provide the best possible overall service to you.

Delivery:

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday unless otherwise stated. All items are dispatched within 3 working days if paid for before the specified cut off time and/or from receipt of clear payment, or at the latest the following day with exception to weekends. E.g. if you purchase an item on Saturday it will be dispatched next working days

All orders are dispatched via Traxs apc overnight for services unless otherwise stated. Most small items are sent via Parcel Force 24 and larger items via courier.

​

Due to the majority of items being shipped via signed for services customers must be aware that they need to make arrangements to take delivery of their orders. Any orders returned due to failure of the customer not being available to take the delivery will be charged to the customer according to the costs incurred to us shipping method used.

​

Orders must be checked at the time of delivery for damage before a signature is given to the courier. As if not, the insurance cover provided by the courier company is invalid.

​

All our UK postage and packaging charges shown on our listings are for UK mainland delivery addresses only. If an item needs to be delivered to a non UK mainland address, a postage quote must be requested before a purchase is made. If an item is purchased before a quote is requested, the buyer of the item will have to pay the difference in postage price before the order can be shipped.

​

Where possible a postage and packaging prices are given for international destinations in our listings, but due to the fact that these costs vary greatly depending on the country that the item needs to be delivered to and the weight and dimension of the item. A postage quote request must be made before any purchase if the destination country is not on the “dispatch to” list on our eBay listing. If not the buyer of the item will have to pay the difference in postage price before the order can be shipped.

All delivery information provided by the customer must be up to date and in full. E.g. Full name and business name (if applicable), address, post code and a valid contact number (preferably a mobile) must be given for all orders.

​

Returns and warranties:

Returns for any item purchased and returned within the 14 day return period can only be accepted if it has not damaged, used, altered or modified in any way and is in it’s original packaging.

​

Surcharging:

If the units are not returned back within two weeks there will be a surcharge fee and the warranty will be void. Units have to be re-serviceable please see below.

​

All items purchased come with a minimum of 12 months warranty, so if you have any problem with any item purchased, please contact us straight away.

​

Items found to be faulty in the warranty period will need to be reported to us and returned accompanied by a diagnostic print off from a registered qualified garage to show what the fault is and how it was found/tested.

​

Items will be fully tested by us , if a fault is confirmed and replacement part will be provided or a refund issued for the cost of the part.

​

We are not responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit when they are in the process of being returned to us.

​

We are not responsible for:

return shipping costs, labour costs and replacement fluid costs, damage caused due to incorrect fitment or usage of parts and/or parts fitted to parts we have supplied.

​

All warranties are non-transferable and only valid if the terms of sale are met according to the listing details.

​

Any fault with a reconditioned part must be reported to us as explained above and sent back to us for inspection and testing. If found to be faulty, the unit will be repaired or replaced. If it is necessary, we may request to inspect other parts that work alongside (or are connected to) the part we have supplied to assist the diagnostic procedure.

​

If the incorrect grade, quantity and quality of fluids is used in a reconditioned part such as differentials, transfer boxes and haldex units any warranty will not be valid.

​

All exchange units must be received in a re-serviceable condition and fully drained of all oil. Units received back full of oil will be charged a £30 drainage charge.

​

A re-serviceable unit means:

For rear differentials – this means a unit that can be reconditioned. If an exchange unit has damage to the internal components (i.e. gears, crown wheel and/or pinion) other than the bearings, seals, and spacer or if the case is damaged on the outside or inside whereby it will affect the functionality of the unit or leave it not suitable for resale, it cannot be accepted and the standard surcharge must be paid.

​

For front transfer boxes - this means a unit that can be reconditioned. If an exchange unit has damage to the internal components (i.e. gears, crown wheel and pinion and/or the main output shaft splines) other than the bearings, seals, and spacer or if the case is damaged on the outside or inside whereby it will affect the functionality of the unit or leave it not suitable for resale, it cannot be accepted and the standard surcharge must be paid.

​

For viscous couplings – this means a unit that can be reconditioned. If an exchange unit has damage to the splines on either end or if the unit has been hammered or bent out of shape it cannot be accepted and the standard surcharge must be paid.

​

All vcu’s sold with dampers must have an exchange unit with a damper.

​

For actuators – this means a unit that can be reconditioned. If an exchange unit been previously opened and therefore damage has incurred to the motor, case or connectors it cannot be accepted and the standard surcharge must be paid.

 

Surcharging - will be charged if the differentials are not sent back within 14 days or the units sent back are  un-serviceable. We will contact you and provide you with a full breakdown of the condition od

Card payments, which can be made over the phone or via a PayPal payment request.

Bank transfer (please ask us for details).

Items cannot be dispatched until clear payment has been received.
